Reach Piazza della Repubblica right in front of the Caffe’ Gilli for your trip to Tuscany. Pickups are available to passengers living in hotels situated in the City Centre. Other passengers are required to reach the pick up point five minutes before the departure time and wait for your driver cum guide to arrive. Just hop on the minivan and say goodbye to the city for the day!
Relax and gaze at the soft hilly scenery as you leave the city behind. After an hour’s drive, we reach the city of Siena recognised by UNESCO as a "heritage of the humanity". Here, we’ll be visiting the Piazza del Campo , one of Europe’s greatest public squares known for its peculiar "shell" shape. Admire the many monumental structures here like the Palazzo Comunale , the Torre del Mangia . It is here that Siena’s famous Palio or horse racing takes place. You will get some free time to look around the place yourself before its time hop back on the minivan.
After crossing vineyards and olive groves of the Chianti region, we reach our next stop, Monteriggioni , a 13th century fortified town. With 11 tall towers surrounding it, this place surely brings back the medieval charm of the Middle Ages.
After this, we head back over the region of Chianti for lunch at a pleasant country estate. Enjoy the company of the friendly owner of the estate while indulging in some fine Chianti delicacies like cheese, cold cuts, bruschetta and ribollita. Chase down all that goodness with some fine Chianti and Vernaccia wines, as our host guides us through the selections in offer.
After lunch, head over to the Tuscan town of San Gimignano fondly known as the Manhattan of the Middle Ages for its beautiful towers. This UNESCO listed town is famous for its Piazza della Cisterna, the Dome, Palazzo del Podestà and the Church of Sant' Agostino.
Next, we head on to our last destination of the tour, Pisa. Another UNESCO world heritage site, Pisa is famous for the Leaning Tower, the Baptistery and the Cathedral. Spend some time clicking pictures and capturing the beautiful atmosphere!
As the tour comes to an end, your driver-guide will drop you back to the starting point. Passengers living in hotels at the City Centre will be dropped off at their respective accommodations.
