An absolutely bedazzling creation, Michelangelo’s David is an epitome of marvellous masterpieces ever made by man. Admire the perfection from a distance as your guide tells you about its fame across all of Florence and the world.
Made out of an entire block of marble, this structure was created between 1501 and 1504. Within a span of three years, Michelangelo presented a 14-feet statue depicting the Biblical hero David, a magnificent male nude depicting the glorious independence and prosperity of a republic Florence.
The tour would also include other masterpieces of Michelangelo, like the Prisoners , a take on man’s struggle to free his spirit from the solid matter juxtaposing with the creator’s dilemma of carving out trapped figures from the same piece. Other notable works on view are St. Matthew and the Palestrina Pietà .
The tour comes to an end in the museum itself and tourists are free to stay back and explore further on their own.

Admission to the museums may be subject to delays, due to security reasons and increased inflow of guests. An assistant will wait for you with a yellow signboard saying ‘Caf Tours & Travels’ outside the Museum entrance reserved for booking holders.
