Take a look at other works of Michelangelo like I Prigioni , San Matteo and the Palestrina Pietà . The 1-hour and15 minute tour of Accademia Gallery ends at the museum itself.

Afterwards, begin your walking tour of Florence from the City Centre where the stunning gothic structure of Loggia del Bigallo oversees Piazza Duomo . Find yourself amidst the amazing complex of monuments and see the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral with its unbelievably beautiful Brunelleschi Dome, the Baptistery of San Giovanni and the Giotto Bell Tower .

Continue your walk along the Via Calzaioli , one of the best places to shop in Florence. See the Gothic Orsanmichele Church and the Straw Market or the Mercato della Paglia . Here the bronzed fountain of a boar fondly called Porcellino awaits you. As per the local tradition and legend, rubbing the boar’s nose and tossing a coin into the fountain brings good luck! Moving on with your tour, see the oldest bridge in Florence over Arno River, the Ponte Vecchio known for its jewellery shops.

Next stop is the Piazza Signoria with the beautifully arched Loggia dei Lanzi , an outdoor museum full of famous artworks by Ammannati, Cellini, Gianbologna and others. Amongst many, the museum is renowned for two works, Primavera and Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli with the latter painting being the icon of the museum.
